What does Tuta charge?
It's free to join. Tuta's fee comes out of each lesson price, and the rate is shown in full before you sign up. Registering interest costs nothing.
How much can I earn?
You set your own lesson prices. What you earn depends on your prices, your hours and how many families book you. There's no guaranteed income.
When do I get paid?
Every Monday, for the lessons you taught the week before, straight to your bank account.
Can university students apply?
Yes. Uni students are some of the best tutors. You'll need a current Working with Children Check and to meet the requirements for what you teach.
Can I teach online?
Tutoring and music can be online or in person. Sports coaching is in person, one-on-one or in small groups of up to 8.
Where do in-person lessons happen?
Tutoring happens at a public place you choose, such as a library. Sports coaching happens at a court, field or venue you choose.
Do I need to be a content creator?
No. A simple clip filmed on your phone, showing how you explain or demonstrate one thing, is enough. No followers, likes or editing needed.
What if a family cancels?
If they cancel at least 24 hours before, the lesson can be moved or credited. If they cancel later than that, you're paid as if you taught it.
Can I sign up in the app now?
Not yet. Teacher sign-ups open before families arrive. Register your interest and we'll email you as soon as they open.
